You have reached this page because you got a notice either from us (Blacknight) or from ICANN stating that your previous domain registrar had lost their ICANN accreditation and that all their domains were being moved to Blacknight.
We hope that the information on this page will help to make this transition as smooth as possible and answer any questions you might have about the process and why it’s happening.
ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) which is the governing body of the domain name industry, manages the accreditation of companies known as domain name registrars.
Your previous registrar has recently lost their ICANN accreditation and is no longer able to manage your domain registration(s) for you.
As a part of the de-accrediation process of a registrar, ICANN goes through a process of choosing which accredited registrar in good standing should takeover the management of the domain names so that you, the registrant, are not impacted.
Blacknight has been chosen by ICANN to receive the domain names that were with your previous registrar.
The process of moving your domain(s) to Blacknight should not require any work on your part, although we may need to verify current contact details for some registrants.
Going forward you will be able to manage your domain(s) via our control panel. You should receive instructions from us on accessing your new account with us.
We will be responsible for handling your domain name renewal and will send you invoices for this. Once payment is received we will renew your domain(s).

As of June 8th, 2022, all NEW Blacknight customers will be using our new state of the art platform. All existing Blacknight customers from before this date will continue to log in as they have before. All Blacknight customers will be transitioned to the new platform at a later date.
