How does online document collaboration work?

Word and Excel documents stored in your OneDrive for Business cloud storage can be simultaneously edited by anyone with adequate permission. Don’t worry. That doesn’t equate to several versions of files being saved online: you actually see any edits that are being made by other users as you go. This saves you having to send slightly updated documents via email to your colleagues.
